About Dig Island

Your journey begins with a plane crash. After watching your plane burst into flames and fall from the sky, you wake up on a tropical island filled with lush vegetation and hidden dangers. You are not entirely alone. A disabled old man, one of the island’s previous survivors, still lives here. Through his guidance and tasks, you learn the basics of survival while slowly uncovering the island’s mysterious past. Dig Island is a digging, survival and exploration game where curiosity, resource management, and smart decision making determine whether you escape the island or become part of its history. Digging is the key to progress on the island. You start by uncovering basic materials near the surface, but as you dig deeper, rarer and more valuable elements begin to appear. Every shovel strike consumes Energy; every misstep you made costs your Health; and every negligence of food creates Hunger, making digging a complex function. Going deeper means better rewards, but poor planning can quickly leave you stranded underground. Crafting is at the heart of survival in Dig Island. The island offers a wide variety of materials to collect, fish to catch, and resources to process. Everything you gather feeds into a deep crafting system built around multiple stations. Ores can be smelted into ingots, components refined, and materials combined into a constantly expanding range of tools, upgrades, equipment, and advanced devices. To escape the island, you must also craft, repair, and assemble the broken parts of your crashed plane, bringing it back together piece by piece for a final chance at freedom. All crafting stations rely on base power, making energy management a core challenge. Generator depends on fuel sources. As you progress, you discover to craft more advanced fuel types to feed your generator. Solar panels on the roof provide continuous energy, but years of neglect mean they must first be repaired before they can be relied upon. Dig Island can be experienced solo or with up-to-4 players. Up to four players can explore the island together, sharing tasks, managing the base, digging deeper underground, and surviving the island’s unpredictable challenges as a team. Story: A story-driven progression slowly unfolds as you dig deeper and uncover traces of the island’s past. Inventory Management: Inventory and resource management play a crucial role in deciding what to carry, craft, or leave behind. Power Management: Each process in stations requires power to complete the process. It is important to feed your generators with fuels. To help you get a constant power flow, solar panels provide energy and enable partial automation of your base’s power system once repaired. Elevator: An elevator built from a pulley system and rope allows faster and safer movement in deep digging areas. Living Island: Dynamic weather brings sudden storms, heavy rain, and, on clear nights, stunning aurora borealis across the sky. Wonder why there is an aurora borealis in a tropical island? Hidden Locations: Beyond underground caves, hidden locations across the island wait to be discovered by curious explorers. Fishing: Fishing provides an important food source and supports survival through proper meal preparation. Jetpack: Jetpacks let you reach places that cannot be accessed by walking or swimming alone.
